Where can I learn some professional street magic?

Hi im a 13 year old magician my birth day was like 10 days ago lol so anyway where can i learn some professional coin tricks cardtricks/street magic? and when I say professional i mean PROFESSIONAL not like that boring obivious baccuci levitation were u just stand on your toes and levitate or that tooth pick vanish that kind of street magic is for beguinners and ive been all over the web looking up street magic and all im getting is tricks like those so were do these magicians get all these professional card tricks and close up tricks? by the way I like the kind of street magic were you use every day objects like chriss angel style magic were he walks through glass and makes a sand castle appear even though most of his tricks use special effects i think his magic is pretty cool so were can i learn that kind of professional street magic? will any magicians here be kind enough to teach it to me? any websites you reccomend for me?

What was the show called where they used to reveal magic tricks?

I remember watching it when I was young (late 90s? early 00s?) and theyd reveal how they do all these magic tricks.. and then there was another show where it was just magicians and then at the end of the show theyd guess your number and stuff through the tv, im trying to find videos on youtube of it to show my friend!

Is there a "family" magician who does Uri Geller magic shows in Vancouver or Surrey BC? Rates? Less than $300?

No card or coin magic tricks, please. This is for a kids party at home. We don’t want to encourage gambling.

Anybody know of a "family" (not "corporate") magician, or magicians, that do Uri Geller’s type of magic shows for home parties for less than 0 in the greater Vancouver area?

My budget is limited, so please don’t suggest the "big names" that charge 0-00 per show.

We are planning this party for a 1-year old at home. However, if we find a few more loonies, we’ll probably upgrade the location to an Asian Surrey banquet hall, probably Bollywood or Grand Taj.

Also, I don’t want to know about the high school kids (like that Popking161 "Joe" kid from West Vancouver) who just do card and coin tricks.

What clothes do other magicians use for sleeving?

I am a 17 year old magician working on coin magic, and im starting to sleeve. what is good clothes to wear, on justin millers silver dreams video hes wearing like 3 shirts andf a coat. should i get these larger if so how much larger, if any magicians out there have experience in this it would be great, or you can email me at sabbathfreak10000@yahoo.com

Where can I find magic tricks for my son?

I want to create magic tricks to my 3 year old son, I only know a few of them and I know he’ll be amazed as much as he enjoys watching magicians doing them at childs parties he attends.

Any internet links will suffice.
If it’s not an internet link, please tell me magic tricks that you know and how can I do it.

David Blaine Street Magic – Is He Really a Magician?

David Blaine is not your ordinary magician. He has become known as a magician that does death defying stunts and magic tricks, and is among the most controversial magicians today. One thing is for sure, David Blaine is fast becoming the biggest name in magic. And often you hear David Blaine Street Magic in the same sentence.

Blaine is often mocked for being a “trick-less magician” (to use Chris Rock’s phrasing). I think it’s fair to say that there have been few magicians that had enough guts and charisma these days to change the face of magic and David Blaine is one of them. And, I would venture to say that he is one of the most intelligent and talented performers to hit the big time in years.

I’m sure you probably have caught some of his “street magician” acts on his TV specials that had limited runs. One moment this magician is unheard of outside of New York bars, the next he’s an exciting new addition to the world of magic and entertainment. He is a master at performing amazing feats and mind-boggling stunts in natural environments (In the last decade he has gone from urban street performer to international superstar with his fresh approach to magic).

Oddly, he continues to be described as “illusionist David Blaine” in the press, though, of course, his tricks are “common” magic tricks known to most magicians and entirely illusion-free. I’m certainly not the first ones to point out that the feats of “magician” David Blaine have nothing to do with magic (for the most part). Most of his specials centers on his Houdini like stunts… hence he has been called “the hip-hop Houdini,” “the Michael Jordan of magic,” and “the master mystifier”. Say what you will about Blaine’s unique brand of magic but he always follows through and does exactly what he says he’s going to.

His latest stunt was living in a water-filled tank for a week before attempting the world record for holding his breath. However, he failed in his bid to break the world record for holding his breath under water, while simultaneously escaping heavy chains. The whole ordeal lasted for 177 hours, where he was submerged underwater in an 8-foot, see-through tank in downtown New York. One Blaine-fan, David Linker, said the magician symbolised “man’s strength to go beyond what normal people can do”.

In any event, street magic has become a very popular form of magic thanks to magicians like David Blaine and Criss Angel – since it allows you to take magic to “the people”. This type of urban magic is performed close-up and “in the face” of the audience. And watching Blaine in his “Street Magic” special, it’s not difficult to comprehend his seemingly overnight success. His Street Magic TV programs have impressed young and old. I’ve personally always liked Blaine, but he needs to be careful to stick to what made him famous, e.g. street magic, not stunts.

You can say Street Magic or you can say David Blaine; the two phrases these days are virtually interchangeable.

One thing is for sure, David Blaine is, no doubt, amply rewarded for his risk-taking. Somehow, I get the feeling that David Blaine is going to try to break some type of a “dangerous” record again. David Blaine is a fearless guy, with amazing dedication but I have to say I wish he would get back to his “magic”.
