The internet has killed off many magic stores, but there are a few left in mid- to large-size cities. The wealth of knowledge that you can get from a dealer, in person, is priceless. If you don't live near a magic store, see if there is a professional magician in your area who would be willing to teach. The personal touch is so important in learning magic.
