Having done magic shows for quite some time I can tell you that it just takes a lot of practice. A lot. I'd spend hours working on one trick/illusion/manipulation in front of a mirror until I could "fool" myself. No one is closer to the trick than the magician and if you can't "see" it, then your audience can't either. There are many "trick" coins available; varying in cost based on material. "Johnson" makes the best coins I know of. If there is another that has better action than a Johnson, I'd like to know about it. Don was right about Johnson making some of the best coins, but if you learn some sleight of hand you won't need trick coins.
