I can't give a secret away either, but magic is based on science, psychology, and showmanship. Every move has a purpose, and everything you see should be challenged.

For example- how do you know that the coin and bottles are both ordinary? Are you sure there is not another item or element in the trick that you don't see?

I know several ways to do this trick, but if you searched me carefully and removed my stuff, then gave me only a really ordinary bottle and coin with no helpers or hiding places, I would have difficulty doing this particular trick.

Magic is supposed to awaken your sense of wonder, your curiosity, your sense of amazement and even awe.

Most of the tricks are really mundane when you know the secret. Learning the secret to most of the best tricks is to experience a real let-down. "Oh, is THAT all there is to it?" is a common reaction- the person is now almost insulted that they were tricked in such a simple way. It makes magic loose the magic.

If you want to learn magic- by all means, get a good book and some simple supplies and enjoy! If you just want to mess up the coolness of a trick by seeing the mundane underpinnings- suffer! ;-)

As a professional magician, I cannot give you the secret to this trick. However, it is available commercially at http://www.roykueppers.com/foldingcoins.html.
Good luck.
